Social media platforms are buzzing with discussions about Operation Epic Fury, a topic that has drawn a wide range of opinions, especially from those presumptuously advising the Iranian people and diaspora on their emotional and behavioral responses. It’s particularly striking when individuals dictate how Iranian women should behave. Caught between opposing narratives from Feminists and Traditionalist perspectives, these women have become an unexpected focal point. We’ve witnessed images and videos of Iranian women boldly removing their hijabs, dancing with joy, singing, and celebrating their newfound freedom after the U.S. and Israeli military forces eliminated Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his core associates, ending decades of oppressive rule.
Melissa Wong, the chair of the Montana Libertarian Party, who describes herself as “America First” on her X profile, controversially remarked that the Iranian women in these celebration videos appeared inappropriately dressed.
Melissa’s comment was ill-timed and tone-deaf, seemingly oblivious to the profound significance of these women’s jubilations. For years, they faced severe repercussions, including the threat of violence and imprisonment, simply for defying the strict dress codes mandated by the former regime. Now, they are expressing relief and joy as these oppressive restrictions have been lifted.
The Iranian women, unfazed by Melissa’s judgments, were quick to dismiss her views, emphasizing that her opinions are irrelevant to their reality.
Perhaps Melissa might consider taking a step back from social media.
Chair of the Montana Libertarian Party Melissa Wong, who claims in her X bio to be “America First,” felt the need to point out that the Iranian women in the celebration videos look like hookers.
Yeah, Melissa went there, not realizing she picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue. She must have been sniffing something, though, because it’s beyond the pale to insult women who suffered under threats of beating, jail, and death if they went outside without a full hijab, who are now rejoicing that these threats, and the regime that uttered them, are no longer an issue.
Has anyone else noticed that the “Iranian women celebrating” videos are all of women that are dressed like h00k3rs? https://t.co/ds7LlU4LWN

So, Iranian women could give zero ducks how Melissa thinks they should dress, and they had no problem letting Melissa know that she needs to stay in her privileged lane.

And maybe delete her X account.
Darling, go cry about it. I’ve been interrogated by the police because of how I look in this picture. So you’d better shut up and keep your opinion to yourself. pic.twitter.com/kNmWCatQji

Haters gonna hate, and Melissa obviously has some envy issues going on. Perhaps she needs to look in the mirror.
Do Iranian women make you jealous?!
Good, stay jealous!🤭🇮🇷#ThankYouTrump #ThankYouNetanyahu #KingRezaPahlavi pic.twitter.com/vDn3A6UHuG— GordAfarid (@GordAfarid_K2) March 3, 2026
These beautiful Iranian baddies not only spoke truth to power; some of them graciously gave Melissa a history lesson.
Iranian women weren’t born with the luxury of choice.
We fought for it. We sacrificed for basic rights.
This isn’t privilege, it’s earned freedom!
So… cry harder😉 pic.twitter.com/PBoksoCdSs— Mina 🇮🇷 (@iminajalili) March 3, 2026
Along with a dose of their reality before Khamenei and his nefarious crew were united with those 72 virgins.
I was 19.I received 60 lashes from the back of my neck to my ankles.
My crime?Attending a party without a hijab and dancing!
Iranian women are fighting and dying for the freedom to choose their clothing & their beliefs.
And you,in a free country,mock their clothing?
Shame on you. pic.twitter.com/MDbSfImDB3— Banafsheh Taherian (@BaniTaherian) March 3, 2026
Others called Melissa out for her arrogant assumption that she had any right to shame them.
We outlived systematic shame. You’re late. pic.twitter.com/vzrX2R5350

Or that they needed anyone’s permission — least of all hers — to celebrate their newfound freedoms.
Before: Mandatory trash bag aesthetic courtesy of the islamic regime.
After: Whatever the hell I want. Sorry if my joy triggers your timeline, Melissa. We didn’t risk our lives for permission to celebrate. pic.twitter.com/WhrSsUd0q1

Of course, the men weighed in. One was thankful for Melissa’s bassackward post for filling his feed with more smokin’ hotties than a Bond film.
God bless this woman for provoking all of the Iranian hotties to post pictures and videos. I wish I had thought of it.https://t.co/3w9eRiCh1b

Erick Erickson said it well.
This lady might be the dumbest person on the internet. One can be ill informed and still know about how Iran treats women. But this chick is clueles……oh, libertarian. Never mind, carry on. https://t.co/05WD7TJ5eJ

The Iranian ladies will definitely carry on, wear whatever they want, and keep on dancing. This is what freedom looks like.
Editor’s Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
