Margot Robbie has returned to Australia ahead of one of the country’s most anticipated fashion occasions: Chanel’s Cruise/Resort runway presentation.
The 36-year-old actress was seen arriving at Sydney Airport on Wednesday. Accompanied by her team, Robbie kept a low profile and did not smile as she moved through the busy terminal.
Her outfit had a distinctly Audrey Hepburn-inspired feel. She paired black capri trousers with a simple crew-neck top, Chanel sunglasses and a blue paisley headscarf, highlighting her slender silhouette.
The Chanel ambassador finished the vintage-inspired ensemble with black ballet flats, hoop earrings and a black leather Chanel handbag.
A sweep of burgundy lipstick, coordinated with her manicure, added a bold touch to the otherwise understated look.
Chanel will hold its first Australian runway show on Thursday, in what is expected to become one of Sydney’s most significant fashion events in years.

The house will unveil its Chanel Cruise/Resort 2026–27 collection, designed by Matthieu Blazy.
The occasion carries particular weight because Chanel seldom brings its international runway shows to Australia. Sydney has been selected alongside cities such as Miami, Singapore, Dubai and Seoul for one of the brand’s prestigious travelling showcases.
The fashion house is holding an invitation-only VIP event at Manly’s Shelly Beach on Wednesday night, with the main runway scheduled for Thursday at a location that has not been disclosed.
Chanel executives are also due to meet members of the media on Wednesday evening at a private residence in Vaucluse.
The runway collection will be presented twice on Thursday, at 2:30pm and 6pm.

Although the looks are unchanged from the collection first shown in Biarritz in April, Chanel has indicated that the landmark Australian presentation will include a local influence.
Nicole Kidman and her daughter Faith, Jacob Elordi—the face of Bleu de Chanel—and Kylie Minogue, who has appeared in recent campaigns for the brand, are among the high-profile guests expected to join Robbie.
Chanel has not yet confirmed the complete celebrity guest list.

Does celebrity participation in exclusive fashion events such as Chanel’s benefit local culture and talent, or overshadow them?
Robbie’s partnership with Chanel dates back to March 2018, when she was named a global brand ambassador.
She initially represented the label’s debut Coco Neige collection, a winter sports-inspired range, and later appeared in campaigns for its Gabrielle fragrance, J12 watches and Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick.
In September 2024, she became the new face of the iconic Chanel N°5 fragrance, succeeding French actress Marion Cotillard.
To mark the appointment, Robbie appeared with fellow Queenslander Jacob Elordi in See You at 5, a short film directed by acclaimed Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino.
She also starred in Chanel’s 2026 campaign for its 25 handbag, which recreated Kylie Minogue’s memorable Come Into My World music video.
