A JUDGE has reportedly been shot and killed inside his home, sparking efforts to protect other area judges.
The Washington County, Maryland, judge was found dead in his Hagerstown house on Thursday night, according to sources.
Maryland State Troopers are rushing to protect other judges following the shooting, according to ABC affiliate WJLA.
It’s unclear if they are in imminent danger.

The victim has not been named by officials.
Earlier in the day, Washington County Sheriff’s Office’s Sergeant Carly Host said they were investigating a gunfire incident but has not provided further details.
Maryland State Police said they are assisting in the investigation.
