Michael Lohan, father of Lindsay Lohan, reportedly taken into custody for a serious assault offense.

Michael Lohan has reportedly been arrested on a felony assault charge after he allegedly flipped his wife Kate Major out of her chair. 

TMZ, citing court documents, reported that Michael was arrested in Texas on Saturday on a ‘continuous violence against the family’ charge.

Major was undergoing a medical examination when she shared with deputies that her husband flipped her out of a chair at their home several days prior, a representative for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet. 

Major reportedly said she suffered pain and discomfort as a result of the alleged act.

A female deputy claims they saw bruises on Major and then spoke with Lohan, who was subsequently placed under arrest without incident at his residence.

Michael, who is the father of actress Lindsay Lohan, was scheduled to appear in court on Monday with a bond of $30,000, the outlet reported, citing legal docs.
