During a press briefing on Sunday afternoon, Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Greg Bovino and Acting Executive Associate Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, Marcos Charles, addressed the media. This event coincided with a separate press conference held by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, who were also making statements that heightened tensions. Interestingly, although Bovino’s press conference was planned first, Walz commenced his just moments prior, highlighting a lack of coordination.
A journalist from Minneapolis posed a question to Bovino, inquiring about the duration of the surge in Minnesota. The reporter asked if there was a specific timeline or a target number of apprehensions that would signal a reduction in efforts.
Bovino’s response was unlikely to satisfy those concerned.
The journalist pressed further, asking for clarity, “Is there a specific number you are aiming for? Surely, there must be a target …”
Bovino’s answer was blunt: “There is a number, and it’s called ‘all of them.’”
The journalist followed up, asking, “Is there a number, though? You have to have a file …”
To which Bovino succinctly replied, “There is a number, and it’s called ‘all of them.’”
🚨 Reporter: “Is there a “goal” number of Illegal aliens you have set before you leave MN?”
BOVINO: “Yes! All of them!” 😂😂👍🏻

To that point, Charles announced that over 3,400 illegal aliens have been arrested since the beginning of Operation Metro Surge, saying:
“We’re out here to arrest dangerous criminal illegal aliens so they can’t victimize innocent people in our communities anymore. Since, the beginning of this operation, we’ve arrested three over 3,400 illegal aliens… Those are criminals who won’t reoffend in our communities.”

In addition to criminal illegal aliens, federal agents apprehended the loser who bit off an ICE agent’s finger on Saturday.
