Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause: Never Legally Wed to G Flip

Selling Sunset personality Chrishell Stause allegedly never legally married her nonbinary former partner, G Flip, before the couple announced their separation on Monday.

G Flip, the Australian musician born Georgia Claire Flipo who uses they/them pronouns, and Stause exchanged vows during a Las Vegas ceremony in May 2023. The event was not legally binding.

At the time, people close to the couple said they planned to complete the necessary legal steps to formalize their marriage.

Over their four-year relationship, the pair celebrated their union four times, including a lavish medieval-themed ceremony last July attended by guests such as celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton.

Sources now claim that Stause, 45, and G Flip, 33, never signed the documents required to make the marriage official, according to TMZ.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Stause and G Flip for comment.

Stause revealed what she described as their “humbling” breakup in an emotional Instagram video, wiping tears from her face as she addressed fans.

‘G and I are no longer together, and we have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other. That’s not hard for me because I am in love with this person.’

Stause also acknowledged that she does not yet “have all the information or the reasons” behind the breakup.

She continued: ‘I’m sure, just like always, with time, you get the lessons you’re meant to get, and I know that will happen, and I’m gonna heal, and everything’s gonna be fine.

‘I’m definitely never doing this again, but I just felt like you guys deserved a little bit more than a cold written statement because you have been so supportive and so loving, and we really appreciate that.’

The actress later said heartbreakingly that she felt “like a little bit of a failure” after her second marriage ended in separation. Stause was previously married to fellow actor Justin Hartley from 2017 until 2021.

Stause explained: ‘There’s nothing you could say about me that would be worse than what I say to myself, so I just have to kind of heal and figure this out.

‘It’s hard. It’s painful. I’m a lover girl. I swing big. I miss, or maybe I don’t miss.’

Although the details surrounding their split remain unclear, Stause said she had an “amazing over four years with G” as they move forward separately.

She said: ‘So maybe that’s not a miss, you know? I mean, it’s just coming to terms with it being a different ending than you had imagined. So, with all that being said, I wanted to give you guys a life update…

‘I don’t know what I hope for myself. I just — it’s really hard and stressful to share this information because I’m kind of going through it.’

She then concluded the emotional video by addressing her now ex directly.

Stause said: ‘I will always love G, and I don’t ever really see that changing.

‘And this sucks, but everyone deserves to be happy, and I wish that for both of us. So thank you.’

Hours later, G Flip responded with a statement of their own as they opted to not post a video response and instead shared a screenshot of a note.

It read: After 4+ years Chrishell and I are no longer together. I will always love her, we will always share a special connection and I cherish our memories together deeply [red heart emoji]

‘My head & heart are feeling very heavy right now and I’m not able to talk but I want to thank you all for your support and appreciate you respecting our privacy at this difficult time.

The former couple celebrated their union several times aside from their Las Vegas wedding ceremony as they renewed their vows just two months later in Palm Springs in July 2023.

Perhaps most interestingly, Stause said that she doesn't 'have all the information or the reasons' for their split yet

They also had a vow renewal in G Flip’s native Australia in July 2024.

Then the following year, the two hosted their fourth and final marriage celebration with a medieval theme at a castle turret in Los Angeles in July 2025.

The two first revealed they were dating in May 2022.

The pair were dating other people – The Oppenheim Group president Jason Oppenheim and The Bachelorette Australia #7 star Brooke Blurton – when they met at a Halloween party in 2021, but they didn’t start dating until five months later.

G Flip then enlisted Chrishell to be the sultry vixen in their music video for Get Me Outta Here in 2022.

Stause was previously married to This Is Us alum Justin Hartley, but their bitter divorce was finalized in 2021 after nearly two years of wedded bliss.
