A 24-year-old woman was fatally beaten inside her Queens home, while detectives questioned her husband after he allegedly called his mother and confessed, according to authorities and law enforcement sources.
Tania Morales was found unconscious at about 8:30 p.m. Monday inside her residence on Park Drive East, near Jewel Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills. Police said she had suffered severe head trauma and a cut to her wrist.
Investigators were told that Morales’ 22-year-old husband believed she had been unfaithful, according to sources familiar with the case.
After the alleged attack, the man reportedly called his mother and said Morales had tried to stab him before he struck her with a pole, the sources said.
His mother then went to the home, found the disturbing scene and called 911, according to law enforcement sources.

Morales was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead.
As of Tuesday afternoon, detectives were continuing to question Morales’ husband. He had not been charged, and authorities had not publicly identified him.

The Queens killing follows another suspected domestic homicide reported in the borough just days earlier.
Seraphina Pereira, a 35-year-old mother who had been reported missing, was discovered Saturday in a shallow grave in the Rockaways. Police said her boyfriend, 26-year-old Rogelio Lozano-Garita, was charged with fatally shooting her and concealing her body.
