She had been working as a math teacher at a high school in Laquey for around a year-and-a-half and it was her first teaching job, per the ABC affiliate KMIZ.

Cops received a report from a school worker who said they had been told about the alleged relationship, per court docs seen by KRCG.

A student, who reported the relationship to the worker, was reportedly shown pictures that showed the alleged victim’s back full of scratches.

Clifton-Carmack was quizzed in December and she vehemently denied the allegations.

Her phone was seized as part of the probe and cops unearthed messages involving her and the alleged victim.

Clifton-Carmack has previously been accused of being too close with her students.

The boy’s father has been charged for allegedly knowing about the relationship.

He has been accused of using students as lookouts while his son and Clifton-Carmack allegedly had sex.

He has been charged with first-degree child endangerment and could face up to 10 years in prison.

Cops said he allowed the relationship to continue, according to court docs.

He is also accused of allowing the teacher to visit his home and see the student.

Police said they received a tip-off that Clifton-Carmack was going to meet with the student before she left for Texas.

Clifton-Carmack was arrested in Garden Ridge, around four miles from San Antonio.

Residents living at the teacher’s home were reportedly told she moved to the state to be with her family.

Kent Stoumbaugh, the Laquey school district superintendent, said Clifton-Carmack had not worked since December 8.

Clifton-Carmack has been arrested on a raft of charges, including endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree statutory rape.

She is also accused of fourth-degree child molestation and sexual contact with a student.

Cops have revealed she is awaiting extradition back to Missouri.

“We understand that charges are not the same as a conviction and the employee is to be considered innocent until proven guilty,” Stoumbaugh told KMIZ.

“We must stress, however, that the alleged misconduct is inexcusable and does not meet the professional standards for district employees.”

Stoumbaugh said he doesn’t expect Clifton-Carmack to return.
