Thankachan G (born on December 25, 1975), also known by his stage name Thankachan Vithura, is an Indian actor, comedian, impressionist, lyricist, and singer who has been appearing in Malayalam films and television programs since 1997. He has an older brother and a younger sister who are both married and reside in Vithura. Thankachan Vithura was born in S. George, a daily wage laborer, and Janama, a housewife in Parankimamthottam, Vithura in the Thiruvananthapuram district. He finished eighth grade at Govt. VHSS Vithura. He originally worked for a daily pay at a movie theatre in his birthplace of Vithura; his job involved checking tickets, and it paid him ten rupees. Later, he spent more than ten years as a hotel employee and an auto-rickshaw driver.

He began his career performing comedic sketches on stage and working with numerous ensemble groups, one of which was Thirumala Chandran’s Showguns in Thiruvananthapuram.
