Published on October 30, 2025, Prince Harry’s work routine is delightfully disrupted by his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The Duke of Sussex shared that during calls from the Montecito, California office he shares with his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, his kids often “just barge in.”

Prince Harry’s meetings are often interrupted by his kids
Speaking on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast, Harry explained, “Their main interest is greeting the people I’m speaking with. They’re either thrilled by seeing familiar faces or just intrigued by the presence of others. Sometimes, you have to gently place a hand on their forehead and say, ‘Not now.’”
He added, “But more often than not, they end up on my lap, eagerly saying, ‘Hi guys!’.”
“But then they jump on the lap and say, ‘Hi guys!’.
When asked if Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, know what he does for a living, the 41-year-old royal replied: “They know I help people.”
Harry also discussed his and Meghan’s mental health campaign and why they think it is so important to tackle the danger that social media poses for youngsters.
He said: “Myself and my wife, we’ve talked about this quite a lot… We’ve had our fair share of beatings on social media.
“I guess when we moved to the US one of the things that we both agreed… and what we were in search of, was what is the root cause of so much pain and suffering in the world?
“And if we can identify that, how can we shine a light on that and support the people trying to change the industry? It was the tech industry and it was social media.”
Harry has implored parents to provide their children with “old-school” phones instead of letting them access addictive smartphones.
He explained: “If you want to be able to contact your kid, maybe we should just be giving them the old-school phone.”
Harry and Meghan relocated to the US after stepping down as working members of the British royal family in 2020 but the former has suggested that he has “no plans” to become an American citizen.
The prince said: “Am I going to become a US citizen? There are no plans to be, at this point.”
Harry previously claimed that he had “considered” the move, which would require him to renounce his royal title, during an interview on Good Morning America last year.
When asked by broadcaster Will Reeve what would stop him from doing so, the royal said: “I have no idea. I’m here standing next to this with these guys (Invictus Games athletes) and the American citizenship is certainly something that has crossed my mind but certainly not something that is a high priority for me right now.”
