Having a quarterback whom the teammates can rely on even in adverse circumstances can really bring everyone together to strive for a better ending. A.J. Brown believes he has the same opinion as his quarterback, Jalen Hurts, as he led the Philadelphia Eagles to a commanding victory over the Miami Dolphins.
Both teams were on a roll, and truth be told, some locals must have had hearts in their mouths while watching the parade of dolphins marching out of the tunnel at Lincoln Financial Field. Then again, the Eagles, with Hurts leading the charge, are a proven commodity. They won the NFC championship game and reached the Super Bowl.
On the other hand, the Miami Dolphins are a team on the rise but still going through a rebuilding phase. Their wins came against teams on the weaker end of the spectrum, such as the Giants and Broncos. However, when they faced the Buffalo Bills, one of the upper-echelon teams, it ended up being a slugfest. The result was only 20 points and a four-touchdown loss.
In short, the South Beach franchise had more to prove, which they didn’t. Because the home team is wearing their Kelly Green jerseys; outplayed them every step of the way. A.J. Brown was the star of the show, with 10 receptions for 137 yards and one touchdown. His fifth straight game crossed the 100-yard threshold. But it would not have been possible with Jalen Hurts. Brown acknowledged his quarterback’s leadership skills.

Sunday night saw not only the return of the leap-year fixture but also the first meeting of two college teammates. Jalen Hurts and Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa were part of the 2018 Alabama Crimson Tide team that dominated the NCAA.
Under the guidance of legendary head coach Nick Saban, both players made a name for themselves. Tua was the backup to Hurts, and when called upon, he performed what was asked of him admirably. They have kept in touch since those times, but Sunday was the first occasion they met in the NFL.

According to Emmanuel Acho, this game was a Super Bowl preview. They both shared a 5-1 record after six game weeks, one with a vibrant offense and another with a balanced tactical approach.
Hurts struggled early on and threw a pick-six that turned out to be one of Miami’s touchdowns. On top of that, he picked up a knock and hobbled for the rest of the game.
Still, the 25-year-old put up 279 yards and 2 touchdowns from 23 pass completions, as per CBS Sports. Tua matched that output with 216 yards and one touchdown from the same number of passes completed. They embraced each other after the final whistle and went their separate ways.
This result means that the Eagles now have six wins and one defeat and will face the Washington Commanders next week. The Dolphins are 5-2 and will welcome the New England Patriots to the Hard Rock Stadium.
