Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic posted on Twitter more evidence of the fact that the is also a big football fan. The Slovenian International only recently shared the stage with Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr. who attended multiple NBA games last month.

The Brazilian winger had even exchanged jerseys with Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo and this time received a huge compliment from Doncic instead. Real Madrid recently defeated archrivals Barcelona 4-1 in the Spanish Super Cup, the Supercopa de Espana.

Madrid ended up winning their first trophy of the season after Rodrygo helped them along with a 64th-minute strike. Regardless, the star of the show was none other than Vinicius Jr., as Luka Doncic was also among the millions worldwide who were watching on. This was evident as following the game, the Mavericks player posted the following on Twitter:

Hat trick in 40 min 🔥🔥🔥🔥 @vinijr

He tagged the Madrid player as well and obviously enjoyed the win. The Dallas Mavericks are currently 7th in the Western Conference and will now take on the New Orleans Pelicans. Struggling to emerge as title contenders this season, Doncic and co. might do well to take inspiration from Read Madrid and their players, who have a habit of delivering when it matters the most.

The latest evidence of it impressed the Slovenian himself, who did not leave the opportunity to congratulate the Brazilian winger.

Real Madrid produce a dominating El Clasico win

The perennial battle for bragging rights that El Clasicos usually represent was evident in the latest meeting between the two sides as well. Vinicius Jr. returned with a first-half hattrick which saw his team 3-1 up at halftime.

The position meant that the second-half Rodrygo strike was always going to be enough to get them the win. The Brazilian displayed the kind of ruthlessness that even Luka Doncic is famous for and had already scored twice in the first ten minutes.

Lewandowski pulled one back rather brilliantly, which was followed by a Vinicius Jr. penalty. Doncic’s compliment was proof that the game tends to recognize game, as the Brazilian even produced a Cristiano Ronaldo ‘Siu’ celebration during one of the goals.

White Doncic and the Mavericks get ready and set their sights on the rest of the season, Real Madrid are entering a crucial stage. They will now take on Atletico Madrid in the Copa Del Ray and are still very much in the reckoning for both the UCL and the La Liga.
