Yaoyao is one of the most important Genshin Impact characters as she was spoken of in several hints since the game came back in September 2020. It looks like after two years, she could eventually become a part of the playable roster in the forthcoming months.
All the characters that had their model leaked from the initial beta phase, but Yaoyao is the only one who is yet to seem in the game. This is probably because of the fact that she is a Dendro user which prohibited HoYoverse from including her before the strange Sumeru region appeared. Yaoyao is also recognized to be a Liyue character which is possibly the major reason why she didn’t occur in the first four Sumeru upgrades. A recent post on the famous Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit seemingly discloses the forthcoming splash art for Yaoyao, with the sketch also revealing a companion same as some other characters in the game.

The new leaks have disclosed that Yaoyao’s kit will be same as Itto’s Masatsu Zetsugi: Akaushe Burst, which deploys his faithful companion Ushi on the region. Both of the Dendro user’s abilities will have the ability to put objects on the region which gives various kinds of buffs and healing. This implies that Yaoyao should be the first Dendro healer in Genshin Impact, which tells that she could become a needed character for a lot of team comps.
If we talk about her release date, credible leakers have said that she is predicted to come in Genshin Impact update 3.4. This implies that she will enter in the roster during the Lantern Rite Festival which often permits one Liyue character for zero of cost. This directed some gamers to think that HoYoverse could enable them to attain the recent four-star character by finishing some event-exclusive quests.
