A suspect has been detained following a brief standoff with the SWAT team, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Authorities have arrested a suspect linked to a shooting incident at a house party in Arlington, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
In the early hours of Saturday, December 20, police were called to the 1200 block of Arlington Avenue in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered five individuals with gunshot injuries at an Airbnb rental property. Preliminary investigations suggest the shooting erupted from a dispute among several partygoers.
The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Kenshawn Prentice, was promptly named by police. An arrest warrant was issued for Prentice, charging him with five counts of attempted murder and one count of possessing a firearm as a juvenile delinquent.

Authorities report that Prentice was located by the SWAT team and the U.S. Marshals Task Force on the morning of Tuesday, December 23, at a residence in Northwest Jacksonville.
According to JSO, a brief stand-off ensued before Prentice was taken into police custody.
