While it wasn’t the Powerball, a lucky individual in Jacksonville scored a significant win with a Fantasy 5 ticket this Christmas Eve, pocketing several thousand dollars.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — For one Jacksonville resident, this holiday season has brought an extra dose of cheer.
The Florida Lottery revealed that a Fantasy 5 ticket, purchased in Jacksonville, captured a $22,463 prize during the midday drawing on Christmas Eve.
This fortuitous ticket was a self-selected entry acquired at the Harbour Place Publix located on Atlantic Boulevard. As of 5 a.m. on Christmas morning, the winner had yet to claim their prize.
Additionally, two other tickets with identical winnings were sold in Palmetto and Sunrise, Florida.
The winning numbers were 2-4-7-20-33.
The last time a winning Fantasy 5 ticket was sold in Jacksonville was on Dec. 16, for $53,000 at the 11250 Old St. Augustine Road Publix.
Most eyes were on the Powerball drawing on Christmas Eve, with the $1.8 billion jackpot up for grabs. The winning ticket was sold in Arkansas.
