CHICAGO (WLS) — In Humboldt Park, a peaceful gathering turned chaotic when gunshots rang out early Sunday, injuring six individuals, according to Chicago police.
The unsettling incident unfolded around 2:09 a.m. on the 900 block of North Central Park Avenue.

The scene quickly filled with police as chaos unfolded. Paramedics could be seen placing injured individuals onto stretchers, swiftly moving them into waiting ambulances.
Among those critically injured was a 35-year-old man, struck multiple times by gunfire, who was rushed to Illinois Masonic Hospital.
Another victim, a 33-year-old man, sustained a gunshot wound to his finger. He was taken to Norwegian Hospital where he was reported to be in good condition.
A 39-year-old man was shot in the thigh and transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
A 46-year-old woman was shot in the back and foot and transported to Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in good condition.
A 34-year-old woman was shot in the hip and transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was listed in good condition.
A 36-year-old man was shot multiple times and transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Chicago police taped off the area as they investigated.
