JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: The Florida Missing Child Alert has been cancelled.
The 2-year-old girl was found safe on Saturday, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued a Missing Child Alert for a 2-year-old girl who’s believed to be with a 26-year-old woman.
The girl was last seen in the company of the 26-year-old, according to JSO; they were “together as recent as Thursday evening, July 17 near the 3600 block of Blanding Boulevard.”
The sheriff’s office says family members of the girl are concerned for her safety due to the length of time her and the woman have not been seen or heard from.
According to JSO, the 2-year-old is 2’6″, weighs 26 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair. The 26-year-old is 5’4″, weighs 150 pounds and has brown eyes and red hair.
JSO says it is actively searching for the girl.
