Ashton Jeanty has all the confidence in the world.

So much so that he believes he can be as good as the NFL’s 2024 rushing leader.

Jeanty, one of the top running backs slated to be drafted next week, said he envisions himself in the same vain as Eagles superstar Saquon Barkley.

The former Boise State back wrote as much in a letter to NFL general managers in The Players’ Tribune on Wednesday.

Jeanty expressed that while many people were impressed by the Eagles’ Super Bowl win and Saquon’s playoff performances, he saw it as an opportunity for himself. He believes he can achieve the same level of success and is determined to make a significant impact wherever he lands. Jeanty is focused on winning and making a big impact quickly.

After topping the Mountain West Conference in rushing yards one season, Jeanty made waves in 2024 by leading the NCAA with an impressive 2,601 yards and scoring 29 rushing touchdowns. His exceptional performance garnered attention and recognition.

He finished second in the Heisman race to receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter and won the Maxwell Award the as the nation’s top running back.

As an All-America first team member, Jeanty is a highly regarded prospect expected to be a top 10 pick in the upcoming draft. Analysts like ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. project him to be selected as high as No. 6 by the Raiders according to his latest mock draft.

“I truly believe I was born to do this. And I truly believe what makes me different — it isn’t about the position I line up at. It’s about the mindset I bring to it,” Jeanty added.
