What could we expect from Bill Belichick’s North Carolina tenure?
How about free pizza?
In a surprising turn of events that has stirred conversation around Chapel Hill, the renowned NFL figure and recently appointed Tar Heels football coach is arranging for pizzas to be delivered to a North Carolina fraternity in preparation for the team’s upcoming basketball clash with Duke on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Famous for his tough demeanor and disciplined coaching style during his tenure with the Patriots, Belichick’s unexpected gesture of generosity has caught many by surprise.
Still, hardly anyone will say no to free pizza.
According to a report shared by College Editor Ross Martin of 247 Sports, Alec Kerr, the Director of Football Operations at North Carolina, has verified Belichick’s intention to provide pizzas for the occasion.
“Our plan is to deliver the pizzas on behalf of Coach Belichick to your house,” Kerr wrote in the email to an unspecified fraternity.
Belichick hasn’t appeared to comment on it publicly.

While at Wesleyan University in the 1970s, Belichick was a member of the Chi Psi fraternity.
The Tar Heels basketball team is 13-9 on the season with a 6-4 record in ACC play.
They were ranked as high as No. 1 on the season before falling out of the rankings entirely.
Heading into Saturday’s game against Duke — the No. 2 team in the nation led by expected 2025 lottery draft pick Cooper Flagg — UNC has lost three of four.
Duke is 18-2 and 10-0 in ACC play, riding a 14-game winning streak that dates back to to late November.
