Birmingham Children’s Theatre presents 2 shows in February and March

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — In February and March, the Birmingham Children’s Theatre will bring “Presenting: Super Cat and Reptile Robot” and “Mr. Chikee’s Funny Money” to children at the WeeFolks show.

In the Wee Folks Theatre, pre-K and elementary audiences are introduced to structured theatrical performances and are encouraged to react audibly and help the main characters on their story journey. 

“Presenting: Super Cat and Reptile Robot in the tremendous tickle trouble” by Rachel Bublitz is recommended for children of ages 4-8 years old. The show explores how to speak up, listen and work through our differences. 

Based on the book by author Christopher Paul Curtis, “Mr. Chickee’s Funny Money” celebrates friendship, imagination and determination as the keys to success, and is recommended for children ages six and older.

“Presenting: Super Cat and Reptile Robot” runs March 2 through 28 on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and weekdays at 11:00 a.m. The approximate run time is 50 minutes.

“Mr. Chickee’s Funny Money” runs February 14 through 28 at 11 a.m. The approximate runtime is 70 minutes.

Tickets are $12 for children, free for children under the age of 2 and $25 for adults. The event will be held at the BJCC.
