Despite initially receiving hateful messages after the first sign was unveiled, organizers have reinforced their commitment to resilience and pride, bolstered by increased security measures. They are determined to transform this moment into one of empowerment and community spirit.

The sign highlights a thriving corridor of over 200 Arab-owned businesses that span from Bridgeview to Worth, celebrating the vibrant economic and cultural contributions of the Arab-American community.

The latest sign was revealed at Westfield Plaza on 79th Street, marking a significant milestone in the community’s journey.

“This unveiling is more than just a sign—it’s a declaration of our identity,” said Rush Darwish, president of the Arab American Business and Professional Association. “In the face of adversity, our community chooses unity, pride, and progress. Little Palestine is a testament to resilience, culture, and economic vitality, and we will continue to advance together.”

Earlier this month, the first sign was unveiled at 83rd Street and Harlem Avenue.
