Bruno Mars’ sold-out Saturday night concert in Tel Aviv has been canceled amid a bloody flare-up of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.

Hamas mounted a surprise invasion of Israel from occupied Gaza that morning, unleashing a torrent of thousands of rockets and breaching the border by land, sea and air.

The death toll in Israel has passed 200, with at least 1,100 wounded and an unknown number of civilians and soldiers abducted. Israel responded with airstrikes over the Gaza Strip, incurring over 200 fatalities, according to the local health officials.

‘Citizens of Israel, we are at war,’ declared Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, vowing ‘to fight back on a scale and intensity that the enemy has so far not experienced. The enemy will pay an unprecedented price.’

As the violence raged on, Live Nation Israel announced that Bruno’s concert in Tel Aviv had been called off and the ticket prices would be refunded.

‘Dear customers, The performance of Bruno Mars that was planned to take place tonight is cancelled,’ the company wrote on Instagram in Hebrew.

‘All ticket buyers for the show will receive an automatic refund to the credit card with which the purchase was made. We stand with the residents of Israel, the IDF fighters and the security forces in these difficult moments.’

The assault from Gaza began one day after the 50th anniversary of Egypt and Syria’s October Surprise that ignited the Yom Kippur War.

As this Saturday’s attack unfolded, gunmen from Hamas stormed through Israeli towns, shooting the residents as well as soldiers.

Chilling footage has emerged of the militants kidnapping Israeli civilians, including old ladies as well as bruised, bloodied young women.

The United Nations Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Sunday, after a clarion call from Hamas for other Muslim countries to join its war effort.

Chants of ‘Death to Israel!’ and ‘Death to America!’ rang out in the Iranian parliament, and the Taliban has reportedly asked if Iran, Iraq and Jordan could allow them to pass through the three countries in order to ‘conquer Jerusalem.’

Bruno Mars played his first-ever concert in Israel this Wednesday night, singing for a whopping 63,000 fans at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park.

Israelis traveled to Tel Aviv from all over the country in order to take in the sold-out performance, according to the local news outlet Ynet.

Onstage that evening, Mars added a touch of local flavor to the proceedings, revealing he had learned to say: ‘I love you,’ in Hebrew.

Saturday night was slated to be his second and final show in Israel, also at Yarkon Park, before it was canceled in the wake of the war.

Mars is still scheduled to perform this Sunday at the Qatar Grand Prix in Lusail, after which he will take a hiatus before resuming his tour in Florida in December.
