In a significant rescue operation this week, Pasadena Humane saved close to 100 small animals from a single Arcadia residence, marking it as one of the most substantial small-animal hoarding incidents the shelter has dealt with recently.
The rescue involved the relocation of 31 mice and 63 hamsters. Notably, some of these hamsters are pregnant, and officials anticipate the total number of animals could soon surpass 100 once the new litters arrive, according to a Thursday statement from the organization.
