Sidelined Las Vegas Raiders star Chandler Jones has ignited concerns for his own mental health over a rambling, tearful, self-shot social media clip in which he makes bizarre claims about his coach, Josh McDaniels, and deceased former teammate, Aaron Hernandez.

Jones has faced questions about his mental stability for weeks after the Raiders sidelined him with a non-football injury to start the season. Since then, he’s posted relentlessly on X, formerly Twitter, regarding a series of disturbing subjects.

This behavior continued Thursday when he appeared to suggest that McDaniels somehow staged Hernandez’s 2017 suicide in a Massachusetts prison. Hernandez, a New England Patriots tight end, hanged himself in 2017 following his arrest and conviction for the murder of Odin Lloyd. McDaniels worked directly with Hernandez during the troubled star’s three-year career from 2010 until 2012.

‘Y’all don’t know what Josh McDaniels really did to Aaron Hernandez,’ said Jones, who played with Hernandez in New England as a rookie in 2012. ‘Y’all thought Chico killed himself in jail? Y’all thought my n***** killed himself in jail?’

Jones, who had been laughing only moments earlier, quickly began to weep after remembering his former teammate.

At one point in his online rant, Jones said he was ‘done with social media for awhile,’ but was back making outrageous and unbelievable claims shortly thereafter.

‘Josh McDaniels had my twin Aaron Hernandez killed at industrial park, not in jail,’ Jones wrote on X.

The football world reacted to Jones’ latest tired with significant concern.

‘Let’s all pray for Chandler Jones and his family,’ former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III wrote on X. ‘I don’t know what’s going on with him right now, but after everything I have seen I do know he needs to feel like he is being heard in this moment. I reached out to him and encourage all of his NFL brothers to do the same.’

Jones wasn’t hearing it.

‘Bro you washed up,’ Jones responded. ‘RG such and such… sit down.. I’m still in the league.. you twitter fingers.’

ESPN’s Adam Schefter apparently reached out via direct message, but again, Jones wasn’t hearing it.

‘The only news that matters is that you’re getting better and doing well,’ read the message Jones posted on X, purportedly from Schefter. ‘Your family cares about you, your friends care about you, and all that matters is that you take care of yourself now. Everyone pulling for you to get well as soon as possible.’

Jones responded directly to Schefter with a direct message of his own: ‘Get well? I’m well brother… I pray for you and your family… I’m worried about you and them lol.’

The 33-year-old defensive end is currently out due to a non-football illness amid questions about his mental health.

He recently accused Raiders owner Mark Davis of protecting someone who allegedly his goddaughter: ‘I wish I could play with my brothers, but marky mark is holding a huge secret that only I know!’

Ultimately Jones backtracked, saying his phone was hacked, but has since claimed that he was taken involuntarily to a mental health hospital by the Las Vegas fire department last week.

In an alarming social media post Monday night, Jones said he was injected against his will and forced to sleep on the floor.

‘First day out, if my fans and friends were wondering, I was taken in by the Las Vegas fire department last week against my will,’ he wrote.

‘I was injected with I don’t know what. They say it was a court hold and the Las Vegas police put me on it. I hadn’t done anything wrong. The police said people were concerned about me because of my posts online.

‘I answered my front door and a group of 5 to 7 were there to put me in an ambulance where I was later injected and I asked them not to. I had no cell phone or no communication. I was taken to Southern Hills hospital and then transferred to Seven Hills where they tried to force me to take meds and injections.
