CHICAGO (WLS) — Scorching temperatures continue to afflict the Chicago area on Tuesday, creating challenging conditions for residents.

An Extreme Heat Warning, issued by the National Weather Service, is in effect across the Chicago region until Thursday evening.

Tuesday’s temperatures are projected to reach the upper 90s, accompanied by a heat index ranging from 103 to 108 degrees.
