Cops are baffled over raid on Jeffrey Epstein's $18M New Mexico ranch

Police in New Mexico appear to be no closer to solving the mystery surrounding a raid of Jeffrey Epstein’s $18m ranch that saw 40 of his guns stolen from his cache.

The burglary occurred at Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch in August 2018, where thieves stole a host of weapons including handguns, rifles, and antique equipment from a garage gun locker at the property.

The 8,000-acre Zorro Ranch was implicated in sexual abuse allegations against Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell as some women and children accused Epstein and Maxwell of sexually abusing them at the property outside Santa Fe.

Epstein wanted to use the ranch ‘to have 20 women at a time impregnated,’ reported the New York Times in an article detailing his dream to ‘seed the human race with his DNA.’

Epstein told scientists and others about his sick scheme – although there is no evidence that it ever came to fruition.

The idea was for him to use the 33,000-square-foot New Mexico ranch as a base where women would be inseminated with his sperm and would give birth to his babies.

Epstein spoke of the plans on several occasions including during a 2001 dinner at his New York townhouse and then again during a 2006 conference that he hosted in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.

Epstein would often speak of his interest in tinkering with genes and perpetuating his own DNA.

He would also speak of cryonics, an (unproven) science in which the bodies of people are frozen, only to be brought back to life in the future.

Several women reported having been raped and assaulted there when they were underage.

Maria Farmer, a survivor of assaults by Epstein and Maxwell, has previously claimed the ranch had surveillance cameras across the property with ‘pinhole cameras’ capturing activities across the estate.

The police report from the New Mexico Department of Public Safety and obtained by the DailyDot details how property managers Amber and Steve Chavez only discovered the burglary the day after the raid on August 26, 2018.

They were alerted after finding a broken window in a garage and a stolen gun safe containing an estimated ’30-40′ guns, according to the report by Officer Jordan Burd.

Other stolen items included gardening tools including a weed eater and leaf blower.

Officer Burd explained to the Chavezes how he needed serial numbers for each of the weapons in order complete his report but none were forthcoming.

He also called Bryce Gordon,  Epstein’s long-time manager at the ranch. Despite the officer leaving several voicemails, his calls were never returned.

In their attempt to track down the culprits, tire tracks could be seen leading from the front of the garage showing the route by which the thieves came and went.

The tracks led towards a dirt road about 1-2 miles off the property. The robbers had cut through a fence that surrounds the entire ranch.

A log cabin together with another property on the ranch was also broken into in which items had been thrown around, although nothing appeared to have been taken.

Five years on from the robbery, despite multiple attempts to obtain serial numbers for the stole guns, police have still not received the required information. The case has since been closed.

Flight logs show although Epstein had been present in New Mexico in June 2018 he was at his mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, on the day of the robbery. In the report, he is described as the owner living ‘out of state.’

In May 2022, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed photos of the home, purchased through the millionaires holding company Cypress Inc. The Stanley, New Mexico, estate sits on nearly 8,000 acres and first went on the market in July 2021.

The estate has a massive three-story, four-bedroom main house as well as a caretaker’s residence, according to a previous listing.

Several women reported being sexually abused by Epstein at the estate, though the New York financier was never charged in the state with any crimes.

Epstein committed suicide in his New York prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges for sex trafficking.

Just days before his death, two women provided accounts in front of a courtroom detailing their experience of assault at the Zorro Ranch in 2004.

One woman, identified as Jane Doe, told the court she was brought there at 15 years old and Epstein abused her for hours and took her virginity.

Property records indicate he purchased the ranch from Gary King in 1993.

King served as New Mexico’s Attorney General at the time and the deal included private and leased federal lands.

At the time, Virginia Giuffre also said she had been trafficked to the Santa Fe County ranch, while Maria Farmer claimed her sister Annie was assaulted at the home in 1996 by the millionaire and his co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Epstein guarded the property to ensure it was secluded from the world.

The property came with its own firehouse with working engine and fire retention water tanks in case of a blaze.

The financier used the ranch as a playground for his VIP guests, who he brought to the secluded estate a few times a year.

Sales from Epstein’s other estates have been used to fund the Epstein Victims’ Compensation Program, which was created in June 2020.

The perv’s townhouse in Manhattan sold for $51 million in 2021, while his home in Palm Beach, Florida, was sold for $18.5 million.

Weiner said in 2021 the compensation program had been funded with over $140 million.
