Discover Why Costco’s New Food Court Dessert Has Customers Buzzing

Costco has unveiled its newest food court sensation, and it’s driving fans wild with excitement.

In its ongoing mission to delight its audience, Costco is expanding its food court menu, much to the delight of food enthusiasts and social media influencers alike. Just a fortnight ago, the retail giant introduced breaded chicken fingers that many have praised as a strong rival to Chick-fil-A’s offerings.

However, the latest sweet treat on the menu has prompted customers to proclaim, “I need to rush back to the warehouse immediately!”

Introducing the Vanilla Cookie Crunch Sundae, a $2.99 indulgence that’s quickly becoming a fan favorite as the “perfect” conclusion to a shopping spree. This delightful dessert combines their renowned vanilla soft serve with a generous drizzle of chocolate syrup and a sprinkling of Oreo-like cookie crumbles.

This latest limited-time offering adds to Costco’s collection of budget-friendly, viral hits, such as the ever-popular $1.50 hot dog combo.

The $3.00 sundae release comes as Costco recently doubled down on lower prices, slashing costs on Kirkland Signature fan-favorites including crispy wings, milk chocolate almonds, golf balls and king-size sheets.

But in the world of warehouse value shopping, Costco is gunning for rival Sam’s Club, which has dominated the limited-edition treat game with its Caramel Palmier and Peaches & Cream sundaes. Costco is now stealing a page from their playbook.

Loyal Sam’s Club shoppers are pushing back on Costco’s new treat, claiming Sam’s Club frozen treats are the “healthier” choice.

Laura Jayne Lamb, or @Costcohotfinds, with 3.5M followers on Instagram, showcased the new treat, and Costco fanatics shared their opinions.

“But it’s not yogurt, soft serve, which is better for you. I’ll stick with my low-calorie twist from Sam’s,” one user chirped on social media. Others agreed, dismissing the Costco sundae with snarky comments like “enjoy the diabetes” and questioning the calories.

“Wish they would bring back their Fatfree Yogurt instead of the Ice Cream,” said one user. But for those who aren’t counting calories, the new menu item is satisfying their sweet tooth.

One customer told Carvel to “say goodbye” and called it the “best sundae ever”; others are living in fear of a menu shakeup. “If they take away the shortcake for this I’m rioting,” one worried shopper threatened.

“Costco has me in a chokehold,” admitted one user. “Costco ice cream is unmatched!” agreed another.

Costco has been amping up its soft serve with limited edition sundaes and fan-favorite add-ons like crumbled churros or the beloved seasonal Strawberry Shortcake Sundae.

Longtime fans are satisfied with the new sundae, as long as it doesn’t replace their favorites. “If they take away my shortcake for this i’m rioting,” wrote one user, and others are missing their original favorite, the mint chip soft serve: “This would have been so good if they still had the mint soft serve.”

Just like their other food court ice cream treats, like the parmesean pretzel and hand-dipped ice cream bars, this sundae will likely only be available for a limited time.
