Discover Why Reece Weaver Swears by This $45 Halara Exercise Dress

Both Reece Weaver and I are enthusiastic about the same exercise dress, and after an evening of dancing in it, I can confidently say it deserves a spot in my workout collection.

Reece Weaver, a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader turned Broadway star, soon to perform in “Chicago,” knows apparel needs to accommodate active movement. When she shared her collection from Halara with me, I was eager to explore it.

Halara, celebrated for its comfortable and reasonably priced athleisure pieces, features a curated selection by Reece herself. The highlight for me is the SoftlyZero Active Dress, which is attractively priced at about $45.

Recently, I joined Weaver for a dance class, complete with pom poms, and we spent the entire evening immersed in dancing, kicking, and spinning while wearing the same dress style.

The dress proved to be more than just a fashionable choice for laid-back workouts. With built-in shorts providing the coverage needed for choreography, and a stretchy fabric allowing for unrestricted movement, it required no constant readjustments.

The side pockets are another practical touch — especially when I wanted somewhere to stash a small essential before class.

This dress is the definition of “business in the front, party in the back.” The airy, backless crisscross design adds a little something extra. I love that it looks polished enough to wear beyond a workout, while still feeling like something I could actually exercise in.

Dancing alongside Reece herself made for a pretty convincing test drive. We spent the evening working through the kind of movements that can expose an uncomfortable or restrictive outfit pretty quickly. Instead, I found myself thinking about the dancing, not my dress.

That is exactly the kind of workout clothing I want: comfortable enough to move in, flattering enough that I feel good wearing it and affordable enough that buying another color does not feel like a major decision.
