The Biden administration recently granted billion to a climate organization linked to Stacey Abrams, a former Democratic candidate for governor of Georgia who strongly supports Joe Biden, as reported by the Environmental Protection Agency.
The money was earmarked for Power Forward Communities ā a nonprofit partnered with multiple left-wing groups founded by Abrams and which the Georgia Democrat has stated she was āthrilledā to be part of, the Washington Free Beacon reported on Wednesday.Ā
The funds were set aside at an outside financial institution ā Citibank ā before Biden left office and part of a larger, $20 billion pot of money the former presidentās EPA received through the Inflation Reduction Act to dole out to climate groups.Ā
āItās extremely concerning that an organization that reported just $100 in revenue in 2023 was chosen to receive $2 billion,ā EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin told the outlet, referring to Power Forward Communities latest tax filings. āThatās 20 million times the organizationās reported revenue.ā

Last week, Zeldin revealed that he located the $20 billion his EPA predecessors squirreled away in an apparent attempt to prevent the Trump administration from clawing back the money and to obscure the various groups that Power Forward Communities, and seven other entities, decide to distribute the funds to.
Zeldin, at the time, expressed concern that the $20 billion would be doled out āfar-left activist groupsā without any federal oversight, and perhaps even to groups with close ties to the Biden administration.Ā
āI made a commitment to members of Congress and to the American people to be a good steward of tax dollars and Iāve wasted no time in keeping my word,ā Zeldin told the Washington Free Beacon. āWhen we learned about the Biden Administrationās scheme to quickly park $20 billion outside the agency, we suspected that some organizations were created out of thin air just to take advantage of this.ā
āAs we continue to learn more about where some of this money went, it is even more apparent how far-reaching and widely accepted this waste and abuse has been.ā
Abrams was a vocal advocate of the Biden administrationās green energy push, and last July, as calls grew for Biden to drop out of the presidential race, she penned an op-ed in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution declaring that Democratsā āpath to victory lies in standing by Biden.āĀ
āItās time to stop the Joe Biden doom loop,ā she tweeted that same month.
Power Forward Communities was awarded the grant the following month.Ā

āWith funds expected to start flowing into homes in early 2025, the grant will make possible the affordable decarbonization of homes and apartments throughout the country, with a particular focus on low-income and disadvantaged communities,ā the group said of the $2 billion grant in August of 2024.
Zeldin, who has pledged to look into ways to recover the money from Citibank, described āStacey Abramsā Power Forward Communitiesā as a āa pass through entity for Biden EPAās $20 billion āgold barā scheme, in an X post Wednesday night.Ā
Power Forward Communities did not respond to The Postās request for comment.Ā
