Heather McComb, the former spouse of the late James Van Der Beek, announced her marriage to actor Scott Michael Campbell this past Sunday.

McComb took to Instagram to share enchanting snapshots from their wedding day, held in the picturesque outdoors of Montana. Among the highlights was the bride’s choice of footwear—dazzling white cowboy boots paired with socks that playfully declared, “I [heart] my husband.”

The wedding festivities seemed to be lively, as evidenced by a later photo McComb posted. It featured her socks, now charmingly soiled from the day’s activities, alongside the silver and white sneakers she switched to.

“Yesterday, @scottmichaelcampbell and I were officially married under the covenant of God,” McComb wrote, expressing gratitude for her sister, @essence_says, who officiated the ceremony. “We were surrounded by those we cherish most in our beloved Missoula, Montana. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for the love that enveloped us. God is truly good.”

She extended her thanks to everyone involved in the wedding planning, saying, “A heartfelt thank you to our family and friends who traveled from across the country to join us. Thank you, Jesus, the way maker, miracle worker!”

“You all made it so special and a truly magical weekend that we will never forget. We are sitting here counting our many blessings.”‘

Campbell, 54, also posted pics from their wedding on his Instagram, writing, “BEYOND BLESSED for the most AMAZING week getting married to the BEAUTIFUL soul who is @heatmccomb ❤️❤️ THANK YOU to ALL of our friends and family and all our newfound Friends and family!”

McComb, 49, was previously married to Van Der Beek from 2003 to 2010. Later that year, he married his second wife, Kimberly.

The couple went on to have six kids together: Olivia, 15, Joshua, 14, Annabel Leah, 12, Emilia, 10, Gwendolyn, 7, and Jeremiah, 4.

Van Der Beek died in February after a battle with colorectal cancer. He was 48 years old.

McComb shared a tribute to the “Dawson’s Creek” alum after his death, and said she was “heartbroken” over his passing.

“I am especially heartbroken for his incredible wife Kimberly, his beautiful children and his amazing family, Jim, Jared, Juliana and all of his family and friends who I know he loved deeply,” she wrote on Instagram.

“James was a beautiful soul filled with so much light, love, talent, humor, depth, sensitivity, knowledge and a deep love of God that shined through him,” she also shared. “He shined so bright yet was so humble and human. Always searching, always growing, always going deeper, always chasing things outside his comfort zone.”
