A woman on the run, accused of fatally shooting her police officer husband in their shared residence, has been captured on new surveillance footage casually strolling down the street in flip flops.
Karen Solomon, age 58, became a fugitive when police discovered her husband, Kurt Solomon, 57, dead in their home in Massachusetts early Tuesday morning.
On Thursday, the Worcester Police Department released video footage showing the alleged perpetrator wandering near a veterinary medical clinic, located about a mile away from where the incident took place.
In the surveillance video, Solomon appears to be slightly hunched over as she walks by the animal facility, at one moment glancing back over her left shoulder.
This Ring security camera footage was captured around 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday, just 10 minutes after police had discovered her husband’s lifeless body in their Wildwood Avenue home.
Worcester Police said detectives are ‘still actively searching’ for Solomon, who is believed to be armed and dangerous. They did not disclose how her husband died.
‘We ask the public to remain vigilant and if you see her or can provide any information, please contact the WPD,’ the department said.
Kurt Solomon served as a police officer with the Worcester force for 31 years, and his former colleagues are now having to investigate his untimely death.
