In a fiery outburst, Hunter Biden unleashed a barrage of insults targeting CNN anchor Jake Tapper, describing him as a “complete and utter a–hole” and accusing him of being “full of f–king s–t.”
This heated exchange came to light when Hunter, the often controversial son of President Joe Biden, reacted to questions about Tapper’s book, “Original Sin.” The book delves into the turbulent period surrounding President Biden’s unsuccessful 2024 re-election campaign.
Speaking candidly on Don Lemon’s podcast, Hunter, 56, didn’t hold back his disdain. “I think that Jake is a complete and utter a–hole,” he confessed to Lemon, who once shared the CNN spotlight with Tapper.
Hunter, whose colorful language punctuated his comments, revealed that he has known Tapper for a quarter of a century. Despite this long acquaintance, he labeled Tapper as a “really poor journalist.”
Dismissing Tapper’s character, he added, “I don’t think he’s a very decent human being,” making clear that his personal and professional grievances were deeply rooted.
“I think he’s full of f–king s–t,” Hunter added, branding him “the Brick Tamland of his generation,” in reference to Steve Carell’s idiotic weatherman character in the movie “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.”
Tapper’s 2025 book, co-authored with Axios’ Alex Thompson, details claims of a cover-up regarding President Biden’s age and health, and features interviews with Democrat insiders who blame his decision to step down only after a poor debate performance for dooming Kamala Harris’ election campaign.
It also accuses Biden’s inner circle, including Hunter, and the First Lady Jill Biden, of shielding the president from the press, something Hunter took umbrage to.
“The way that he [Tapper] has spoken about me, the way he has spoken about my mother, the way that he has spoken about my father, the idea that I would tell you — and be full of s–t like everybody else usually is, and say, ‘Well, you know, I’d like to respect Jake’s long career in journalism and, you know, he’s done good things before’ — you know what? I don’t have to say that. I’m not running for anything,” Hunter ranted.
Jake Tapper’s representatives did not respond immediately to requests for comment, but a spokesperson for CNN told Mediate that “Jake Tapper is a respected journalist and his work speaks for itself.”
“For decades, he has challenged and scrutinized those in power, regardless of party, ideology, or title. That’s the job, and he’s done it exceptionally well. These comments are frankly ridiculous and shouldn’t warrant news coverage,” the spokesperson added.
