Trump to undergo check up amid scrutiny over health
Today, Donald Trump is set to undergo his routine annual check-up at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, amid growing attention concerning his health.
As Trump approaches his 80th birthday next month, he often presents himself as more vigorous and physically adept compared to Joe Biden, the former Democratic president who stepped down last year at the age of 82, amid discussions about his suitability for the role.
However, recent images have sparked renewed speculation about Trump’s health. Photographs revealing a patchy rash on his neck have caught public attention, following previous images from last July that showed his ankles appearing swollen and a bruised hand that seemed to be covered with makeup.
Having celebrated his birthday on June 14, Trump made history as the oldest individual to take on the presidency when he commenced his second term in January 2025.
Despite these concerns, Trump continues to lead an active lifestyle, especially on the golf course. He humorously remarked on his exercise habits at a recent event in the Oval Office, where Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. mentioned that the president covers around nine miles (14.5 km) during each golfing session.
