Eric Dunn, a devoted Jacksonville Jaguars fan, recently shared an image from the game on social media, which soon became a story of kindness and connection. After a teasing remark about his seating arrangement, Ashley Coen decided to surprise Dunn by gifting him tickets, transforming a playful jab into a generous gesture.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — For the passionate fans of the Jaguars, each game day is a celebration of unwavering loyalty, a time to rally behind their beloved team and community. It’s more than just about the game; it’s an expression of dedication and pride.

Eric Dunn, a steadfast supporter of the Jaguars, exemplifies this spirit. His love for the team turned an online comment into a remarkable real-life experience, underscoring the sense of camaraderie inherent in sports fandom.

Dunn has been a fixture at Jaguars games since attending his first in 2003, cheering his heart out for the team that captured his allegiance in childhood. “I went to my first game in 2003 and have been a fan ever since,” he shared, reflecting on his long-standing connection with the team.

“I went to my first game in 2003 and have been a fan ever since,” said Dunn.

Dunn’s been cheering on the Jags since he was eight, never caring where he sat, just happy to be inside the stadium.

“Once you’re inside a Jags stadium the atmosphere is what you’re there for.”

During the game against the Titans January 4th, Dunn posted a picture of himself at the game on social media platform x.

30 minutes later he noticed a comment, seemingly mocking him for where he was sitting and calling him broke.

Rather than backing down, Dunn leaned in, heading even higher up in the stands of Everbank Stadium to snap another photo, posting it with the caption “AFC South Champs Baby.”

His loyalty to his team didn’t go unnoticed.

Ashley Coen,  the wife of Jaguars head coach Liam Coen, responded to Dunn’s post saying “Got two tickets with your name on it for Sunday!”

“I replied to her saying this is an honor,” said Dunn, “I just want to thank Ashley Coen for even giving me this opportunity because she didn’t have to at all.”

Dunn told First Coast News this all feels like a full circle moment.

Back in May 2025, he met Jaguars head coach Liam Coen at an event at the Jacksonville Zoo. He wished him luck this season.

“I remember telling him good luck this season, the city truly needs it. So this is kind of a full circle moment for myself,” he said.

Now interacting with the Coens who he refers to as the first family.

“The President and First Lady of Duval.”

No matter where he’s sitting. Eric Dunn said he’ll keep showing up and cheering loudly for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“The development, the success of the franchise it’s historic and it just feels good to be in this position because it’s something the city’s been waiting for and its residents have been waiting for their entire lives.”

Like so many Jags fans, Eric said he’s holding onto one big hope, that this team can go all the way to the Superbowl.
