In Columbus, Ohio, the process of selecting jurors for the murder trial of Blendon Township Police Officer Connor Grubb extended into Tuesday. Grubb is accused of fatally shooting Ta’Kiya Young near a Kroger store in August 2023.
The 31-year-old officer faces multiple charges, including four counts of murder, four counts of felonious assault, and two counts of involuntary manslaughter. These charges relate to the deaths of 21-year-old Young and her unborn child.
Last week, potential jurors were required to complete a detailed questionnaire of around 100 queries. The questions gauged their awareness of the incident and explored their perspectives on law enforcement and the Black Lives Matter movement.
