Katy Perry has taken to Instagram to subtly introduce her new beau, Justin Trudeau, to the world. The pop star shared this glimpse as part of a post celebrating her 41st birthday on Tuesday.

Amidst her ongoing Lifetimes Tour, the “Dark Horse” singer shared a collection of photos and videos, capturing her excitement as she embraced another year. Perry and the former Canadian Prime Minister, aged 53, have been romantically linked since July, but only recently have they stepped into the public eye together, making their relationship official during a Parisian outing over the weekend.

As she marked her birthday on October 25, Perry gave fans a peek into her celebrations with a video of her blowing out candles on a cake adorned with luscious icing. This intimate moment took place backstage at one of her tour stops, surrounded by her backup dancers and crew, highlighting the joy and camaraderie of the occasion.

Perry later made an attempt to humorously toss the cake in the direction of one of her crew members, but missed – causing the entire uneaten dessert to plummet face down onto the floor. 

Some of her dancers and other crew were later filmed taking small bites of the destroyed cake from the ground. 

However, the moment was blasted by some social media users – with some calling Perry both ‘selfish’ and ‘wasteful.’ 

Perry and Trudeau were first spotted together back in July grabbing dinner in Montreal during the Canadian leg of her Lifetimes Tour – which is slated to concluded later this year in December. 

It comes shortly after it was revealed in June that the singer split from fiance Orlando Bloom. 

The former couple began dating in 2016 and became engaged three years later. The two stars also share five-year-old daughter Daisy. 

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor is also father to 14-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

Meanwhile the former prime minister of Canada looked dapper in a black suit which he paired with a coordinated T-shirt.

The pair looked smitten as they exited the theatre and made their way to a chauffeured vehicle. 

The sighting came just one day after sources told Us Weekly that Perry is ‘really into’ her connection with Trudeau.

Another person close to the pair said the relationship ‘isn’t serious’ due to Perry being ‘extremely busy’ on her Lifetimes tour.
