Kim Kardashian, known for her prowess as a reality TV star, entrepreneur, and fashion icon, can now humorously add “cringiest mom on the planet” to her list of titles.
During her MasterClass session titled “The New Rules of Business: The Ten Kimmandments with Kim Kardashian,” she candidly shared how her four children often tease her for not keeping up with the latest trends.
When questioned about a recent trend her kids have introduced her to, the 45-year-old Kardashian chose not to reveal it, joking that “it will be over by the time this comes out and then I’ll be the cringiest mom on the planet.”
She elaborated, “So I’m not even going to dare say a phrase.”
“I mentioned one a week or two ago, and they haven’t let it go. I’d rather avoid hearing about it again,” she confessed with a laugh.
Even though she can’t quite keep up with all of what she learns from North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 — whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West — they still inspire her every single day and help her build her billion-dollar brands.
“I drive them to school everyday so they control the radio and they control the playlists when we’re driving. So I get to hear music that I’ve never heard before,” the “Kardashians” star shared.
“I hear what’s like all the trends, what they’re talking about. I’d say the carpool rides are gold.”
Kardashian’s MasterClass — which is available on Dec. 4 through the official website — was focused around the strict “Ten Kimmandments” she follows, which have allowed her to build her wildly successful Skims brand and beauty empire.
Some of these “Kimmandents” include suggestions like, “Define yourself before others do,” which means determining a brand’s “values, the visuals and the voice” that will make a product stand out. Another was “Turn failure into strategy,” which was a resourceful way on how to deal with customer backlash.
She also highlights how to “Know your worth. Then add tax,” advising fans to only start a brand once they have a strong sense of self-worth so others don’t make decisions for them.
With these always at the forefront of her mind, Kardashian was able to create products that sell out the second she posts them on her Instagram feed.
During the MasterClass, the “All’s Fair” star also credited her mom, Kris Jenner, for shaping her entrepreneurial mind from a young age. She noted that watching Jenner get her agent and manager licenses cemented in her brain that a woman can be the breadwinner.
Fittingly, Jenner, 70, did her own MasterClass back in July 2022, titled, “Building a Business, Family, and Brand.”
Kardashian also took a trip down memory lane reflecting on all of her businesses, from Dash to KKW Beauty.
She launched her most successful brand, Skims, in September 2019 and today it is valued at $5 billion dollars.
In September, she officially shuttered her beauty line Skkn, but industry chatter points to a Skims Beauty launch in 2026, which could house fashion and makeup under one Kardashian-led empire.
