“Floribama Shore” star Kirk Medas has died. He was 33.
His co-star Aimee Hall announced the news on Facebook Friday evening, writing, “We lost our brother, our best friend, our heart — Kirk.”
While at the beach, she sensed something before receiving a call. A dolphin approached her, seeming to bid farewell. The connection with Kirk through their shared affection for dolphins and the sea made her realize what was happening.

Though her “heart is shattered,” Hall, 32, finds “peace in knowing” her friend is “no longer in pain.”
She expressed that Kirk is now in a better place, free and complete, spreading joy like only he could. His gentle nature, love for everyone he encountered, and ability to unite people were highlighted as his remarkable qualities.
Hall said she will “never forget the moment they placed him on the ventilator, before the coma took hold.”
As “tears rolled from his eyes,” she told him she loved him.
Although she already feels the absence of his voice, laughter, and company, she believes that the world has dimmed a bit without him. However, she remains hopeful in reuniting with her closest companion in the future, in the meantime cherishing his memory in her heart forever.
Medas had been in the ICU of a Miami hospital for two weeks after being diagnosed with a “severe case” of necrotizing pancreatitis and sepsis.
