LeBron James has condemned the Hamas attacks in Israel, calling the killing of Israel civilians ‘tragic’ and ‘unacceptable’
‘The devastation in Israel is tragic and unacceptable. The murder and violence against innocent people by Hamas is terrorism,’ he wrote in a letter signed by him and business partner Maverick Carter.
‘The SpringHill Company [the pair’s video production company] family sends our deepest condolences to Israel and the Jewish community. We pray for peace in the region and reiterate our continued commitment to fight hate in all its forms.
‘We all must work to ensure this tragedy does not spread even more hate, racism and antisemitism.’
Violence ensued on Saturday when Israeli civilians in Southern Israel were targeted and killed by Hamas, with some being taken hostage as well.

Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel will ‘crush and destroy’ Hamas and that every member of the terrorist organization is a ‘dead man’
Hamas targeted kibbutzim and even attendees of a music festival, with IDF spokesperson Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus saying on Wednesday that 1,200 people have died as a result of the attacks.
Hamas is believed to have taken 150 hostages, including Americans, and is threatening to execute them if Israel launches a ground invasion of Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also accused the Hamas terrorists of beheading soldiers and raping women on Wednesday.
His claims about the beheadings had not been independently confirmed but rescue workers and witnesses had described horrific scenes.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s health ministry says 1,100 people have been killed and more than 5,300 injured as Netanyahu vowed to ‘crush and destroy’ Hamas.
Following the surprise attack, Israel has blocked supplies of fuel, food, water and medicine into Gaza.
