The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says the man in his 20s was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was hospitalized after a shooting occurred on Moncrief Road in Jacksonville Wednesday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO’s Sergeant Scott says at around 1:45 a.m., officers responded to a call about the man being shot in the 5000 block of Moncrief Road West. When officers arrived, Scott says they found the man suffering from two gunshot wounds.
Police say the man is in his 20s, and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“The initial investigation has revealed the victim was walking in the area when an unknown suspect exited an unknown vehicle and shot the victim two times,” Scott told First Coast News. “At this point, we believe it’s an isolated incident.”
