WASHINGTON D.C., DC — The upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics will see Team USA fielding what is arguably one of the most formidable U.S. Figure Skating teams in history.
Heading the charge is world champion Ilia Malinin, who has secured his fourth consecutive national title this year. Malinin is poised to potentially claim the men’s gold medal at the Milano Ice Skating Arena, continuing the legacy of Nathan Chen.
Also expected to make a significant impact are Madison Chock and Evan Bates. The duo has clinched their seventh U.S. title, setting a new record and solidifying their status as Olympic favorites. Joining them is world champion Alysa Liu, making her second Olympic appearance, and Amber Glenn, who has celebrated her third straight national title.
Reflecting on his achievements, Malinin expressed, “It’s such an amazing feeling. I worked so hard, especially after those 2022 nationals. It holds tremendous significance for me, being able to participate and follow in my parents’ footsteps as two-time Olympians. It’s such an honor, and I’m thrilled for this experience.”
The U.S. Figure Skating team, comprising 16 skilled athletes, was officially announced following the U.S. Figure Skating Championships held in St. Louis.
The 2026 Olympic figure skating competition runs Feb. 6 through 19 in Milan.
