Authorities in Minneapolis are grappling with a troubling series of events as bodies continue to be discovered throughout the city. The most recent unsettling case emerged near the iconic Stone Arch Bridge.
FOX9 has reported that the University of Minnesota Police Department located a body in the vicinity of the bridge, though they remain tight-lipped regarding any details surrounding the death.
This disturbing find by the Stone Arch Bridge is now the third occurrence in a three-day span. The sequence of grim discoveries began on Saturday at 6 p.m. when law enforcement officers found a body in a wooded area close to East River Flats park, adjacent to the Mississippi River.

The woman whose body was found on Saturday has been identified as 56-year-old Karen Lynn Sognesand from Maple Grove, according to The Minnesota Star Tribune.

An obituary for the woman says, “The most loving, caring, daughter, sister and friend has left us too soon. Her struggle with mental health and the loss of her dad was just too much.”

The second body was found Sunday at 11:30 a.m. near the shoreline of Bde Maka Ska Lake.

“The body was found in a severe state of decomposition, according to a statement from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board,” the Star Tribune reported.
It is unclear whether the three discovered bodies are linked to a crime.
