Late Tuesday night, a 32-year-old woman sustained multiple slashes during an altercation with another female passenger on a Bronx subway, according to police reports.
The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. on a northbound No. 6 train at the 149th Street and Southern Boulevard station in Mott Haven. The victim suffered cuts on her left arm, chest, and lower back as tensions escalated, authorities stated.


Following the attack, she was transported to Lincoln Medical Center, where officials confirmed she is in stable condition.
The suspected assailant, identified only as a woman, has been apprehended, police confirmed.
As of Wednesday, charges against the attacker were still pending, according to law enforcement sources.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the fight between the two women.Â
