The current adjustment marks the fourth price increase by Peacock over the past four years, following the most recent change in July 2025.
WASHINGTON — NBCUniversal’s streaming platform Peacock has announced a hike in subscription costs, affecting all tiers of its service.
Effective immediately for both new and returning users, the price hike, disclosed on Tuesday, Aug. 18, will impact existing subscribers beginning their next billing cycle on or after Sept. 17.
Here’s a detailed look at how the new pricing is structured:
- Select (monthly): $7.99 to $8.99
- Premium (monthly): $10.99 to $12.99
- Premium Plus (monthly): $16.99 to $19.99
- Select (annual): $79.99 to $89.99
- Premium (annual): $109.99 to $129.99
- Premium Plus (annual): $169.99 to $199.99
In a statement explaining the rationale behind the price increase, Peacock highlighted:
“These price changes allow Peacock to continue to create the best experience for its viewers, remain competitive in the marketplace, and deliver unique content across all genres. Current annual subscribers, or any users on active promotional offers, will continue at their current prices until those plans or offers expire. Subscriptions will then renew at the new price.”
This is the fourth hike in four years, with the last one in July 2025.
Here are the differences between Peacock’s three plans:
- Select: Watch TV with ads but excludes sports, movies and Peacock originals
- Premium: Watch TV, movies, sports and more with ads.
- Premium Plus: Watch TV, movies, sports and more without ads. Downloads are also available.
The annual subscriptions for each are priced as if customers were paying for 10 months and getting two months free.
