These were no ordinary ham-bassadors of chaos.
Two escaped piglets nicknamed “bacon bits” led South Carolina police on a wild foot chase that was captured on camera.
Video shared by a local resident Monday showed the runaway pigs racing across roads and darting along sidewalks as they tried to evade officers in Beaufort.
At one point in the pork-filled pursuit, one piglet suddenly veered toward a park. A startled officer leaped into the air and frantically waved his arms as he tried to change direction.

Officers chased the nimble suspects on foot for several minutes, lunging from side to side as the piglets fought tooth and trotter to avoid capture.
The pair, soon dubbed “bacon bits,” were jokingly charged with fleeing — and squealing.
Fortunately, “no ham was done.” Police eventually caught the fugitives and safely returned them to their owners.
“We have no caption for this… thankfully, an amazing citizen caught the chase on camera,” the department wrote on Facebook.
