Schumer and Gillibrand, both New York Democrats, issued a statement through the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, expressing profound concern over the matter. “The allegations reported today are incredibly disturbing – violence, abuse, and sexual assault are absolutely unacceptable,” they declared, underscoring the gravity of the accusations.
