In Aliceville, Alabama, a troubling series of arrests have rattled the Pickens County School System. Among those apprehended are several educators and a former student who has since become an officer with the Aliceville Police Department. The charges laid against them span from involvement in child pornography to allegedly supplying drugs to minors.
Throughout this month, the legal net has ensnared at least four teachers alongside a police officer, all facing accusations related to child pornography. The charges they face vary, encompassing production, possession, and the intent to distribute illicit materials involving minors.
While the full scope of the situation remains unclear, with scant details available, one court document sheds light on a case involving Antavious Belgrave. Belgrave, a social studies teacher at Aliceville High School, is accused of sending sexually explicit images to a student, casting a shadow over the educational institution.
Among those charged is Lakeitha Colvin-Wilkins, a fourth-grade teacher at Aliceville Elementary School. At 49, Colvin-Wilkins faces serious allegations, including displaying obscene material, possessing and intending to distribute child pornography, and abusing her position for personal gain.

Winston Bishop– A teacher at Aliceville High School who was also an educational consultant at BPM Consulting. Bishop, 58, is charged with solicitation of child pornography, possession of child pornography, illegal distribution of a controlled substance and providing minors with drugs.
Antavious Belgrave– A social studies teacher at Aliceville High School. Belgrave, 28, is charged with indecent exposure, electronic solicitation of a child, two counts of sexual misconduct, three counts of ethics violations, three counts of failure to report, three counts of distributing a private image, first-degree sexual abuse and enticing a child to enter
Roderick Granger– A math teacher at Aliceville High School. Granger, 49, is charged with intention to disseminate pornography, display obscene material, solicitation of child pornography, failure to report and one count of ethics violations.
Caminion Gary– Also known as Caminion Hughes, the 20-year-old Aliceville High alumnus was sworn in to the Aliceville Police Department in 2023 and was a volunteer basketball coach in town. He is charged with solicitation of child pornography, first-degree sexual abuse, production of child pornography, transmitting obscene material to a child by computer and child molestation.
Both Belgrave and Granger are being held at the Pickens County Jail on no bond while the others have no bond.
Following Gary’s arrest, Aliceville Mayor Terrence Windham said the city was taking the case very seriously.
“No one is above the law, and we are fully cooperating with the proper authorities as the legal process moves forward,” Windham said in a statement. “Until the process is complete, the officer will be placed on administrative leave without pay, pending the completion of the process.”
The Pickens County School System released a statement Tuesday saying that they were working with police in the case.
“The actions of a few individuals do not reflect the dedication, professionalism, and integrity of the many outstanding employees who serve our students every day,” a statement from the school system read.
The case remains under investigation.
