Taylor Swift ecstatically embraced Brittany Mahomes as they watched their men play for the Kansas City Chiefs that night.

Brittany’s husband Patrick Mahomes and Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce, along with the rest of their teammates, returned to their city that night to face off against the Denver Broncos at the sprawling Arrowhead Stadium.

Brittany and Taylor were ensconced in a VIP box that included Travis’ mother Donna, all watching rapt as the game unfolded below.

One particular catch by Travis resulted in an explosion of applause from the audience – and an equally rapturous reaction from Taylor.

As the crowd went wild, Taylor and Brittany could be glimpsed wrapping their arms around each other and beaming radiantly.

Taylor and Brittany’s burgeoning friendship has been hitting the headlines since last month, in the midst of Travis’ new romance with the pop star.

They evidently became acquainted on September 24, the first time Taylor went to the Arrowhead Stadium to watch Travis play, sending her fans into a frenzy.

Decked out in Chiefs colors, Taylor had pride of place with in the VIP box, where she could be seen gleefully cheering for Travis next to his mother. 

It was at a postgame party that evening that Taylor reportedly bonded with Brittany, whose husband remarked at a press conference a few days later that Taylor was ‘really cool, good people.’ 

Less than two weeks go, Taylor watched Travis and his fellow Chiefs face off against the New York Jets at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey – the same sprawling venue where Taylor performed in May as part of her juggernaut Eras Tour.

Up in a VIP box, the pop superstar ecstatically cheered Travis on amid a thicket of gal pals including Blake Lively, Sophie Turner and Brittany.

She could also be spotted enjoying a few warm moments with Travis’ mother Donna as they watched the Chiefs beat the Jets.

Blake, who was joined by her husband Ryan Reynolds, was seen leaping up and down so enthusiastically that she almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction.

Meanwhile, Taylor has been cultivating a blossoming friendship with Sophie amid the latter’s divorce from their mutual ex Joe Jonas.

Taylor, who briefly dated Joe in the summer of 2008, has written multiple songs that are rumored to be about him, including the scathing Better Than Revenge.

Joe and Sophie married in 2019 and separated last month, since when they have been waging a bitter custody battle that has unfolded in the headlines.

Their principle bone of contention appears to be where their two young daughters will live, with Joe arguing for the US and Sophie pulling for her native UK.

News of Travis’ romance with Taylor went public in the middle of September – two months after he dished on his podcast that he had tried and failed to give her his phone number at her concert in Kansas City.

The athlete said he had his phone number inscribed on a bracelet, which he planned to present to to Taylor – but when he attended her Kansas City show, he was unsuccessful in his attempts to meet her backstage.

‘So she doesn’t meet anybody and she doesn’t – or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal,’ he quipped on his podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother and fellow NFL star Jason Kelce.

Their public appearances as a duo have gone repeatedly viral, including a dinner date they enjoyed after reportedly clearing out the restaurant by paying for all the other customers’ meals in exchange for their departure.
