Twitter boss Elon Musk’s Cybertruck has been put to the test in a new video showing a game of tug-of-war with a Chevy Silverado.

Since the billionaire shared a promo video of the EV taking on a Ford F-150 in 2019, Youtubers have been challenging the Cybertruck against other vehicles to see just how much strength it holds.

One video released by YouTube channel Cyber Hooligan shows the Cybertruck being paired with a diesel Chevy Silverado pickup – and the results were surprising.

The video shows the Cybertruck giving up on its first attempt, allowing the Silverado to drag the 5,500-pound EV behind it.

At one point, the Cybertruck does manage to pull the Silverado but only when the diesel car is in park mode.

Experts at InsiderEV explained that the loved-by-celebrities vehicle’s motor becomes disabled due to a failsafe which is triggered once the Silverado begins pulling it.

According to a team member who made the video, manufacturers may have added a mechanism as a precaution to prevent damage to the truck.

With a number of high profile incidents, the $80,000 Cybertruck has become a frequent discussion point.

Earlier this week, a Cybertruck driver crashed into an iconic Beverly Hills Hotel and ended up asking Musk for a new one after blaming the hotel’s valet service.

A post on X included a dramatic photo of the futuristic car wedged right below the fancy hotel’s infamous sign.

The brand new stainless steel ‘cyberbeast’ had its door ripped off by the crash, which called for the police to show up on the scene.

During the 2 am incident, the vehicle became lodged on top of the raised curb and into the palm leaves surrounding the entrance sign.

The user, @jackdidthatt, captioned the picture ‘@elonmusk the beverly hills hotel valet just crashed my friends brand new cybertruck outside pulling it around!! Can you help out in getting another??’

Musk, responded to the post and weighed in on the crash, saying ‘Tesla supertruck with crazy torque, dynamic air suspension, and corners like it’s on rails.’

However, the valet company’s business owner has clapped back against the claims, insisting that they have had a ‘strong reputation’ in the Beverly Hills community for 70 years.

Dorchester Collection is the valet company that handles parking for visitors of the luxurious L.A. hotel.

The owner confirmed that the electric vehicle was not being driven by one of his employees at the time of the crash and it was the Tesla’s owner who slammed the car into the hotel.

But this has not been the only Cybertruck crash.

Also earlier this week, a careless driver who ignored a ‘No Vehicles on Beach or Dunes’ sign ended up driving his Tesla Cybertruck onto a California beach, where it proceeded to get stuck in the sand.

The woman who took the video narrated 'some dumb*** decided to take his Tesla onto the sand.'

A video that was taken by a bystander captured the entire ordeal, showing the driver, who was from Nevada, talking with firefighters and other officials, while his Cybertruck stood a few yards away from the lapping waves.

Moments later, the firefighters endeavored to push the 6,8430-pound vehicle off of the beach.

The woman who recorded the video, which was shared with KSBW8, narrated: ‘Today is March fourth and some dumb*** decided to take his Tesla onto the sand.’

She added that the driver was ‘livid.’

The firefighters could be seen slowly rolling the truck backward, with much exertion and strain.

Musk’s truck, released to great fanfare, has been dogged by technical issues like software malfunctions and severe brake failures since its November launch.
