Tom Brady admitted he needs to clean up his language on Fox after several expletive-laced reactions during his broadcast of the Cowboys’ 37-20 victory over the Commanders on Sunday.
While calling the game alongside Kevin Burkhardt, Brady blurted out “Oh s–t” after Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels injured his elbow before halftime. Later, in the fourth quarter, he described Dak Prescott’s deep touchdown connection with CeeDee Lamb as an “absolute piss missile.”
“I fully expect you to beep out those ‘piss missiles,’ OK?” Brady said during Thursday’s edition of his “#AskTom” segment on NFL on FOX. “You can’t say that, because that swear jar is getting way too full in my house. My kids are getting way too happy with me filling up that jar.”
“… I’m actually kind of embarrassed. There’s a lot of grandmas at home that probably aren’t very happy with my mouth on Fox. I’m gonna fix that. Sorry. I apologize.”
Brady did not specifically revisit the “Oh s–t” remark, which came after a replay showed Daniels dislocating his elbow.
“Excuse me,” Brady said immediately afterward. “Was not expecting to see that.”
Commanders general manager Adam Peters said Friday that Washington does not plan to place Daniels, who suffered a similar injury last season, on injured reserve. The team also does not believe he will require surgery.
Washington will host the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks on Sunday, while Dallas is scheduled to face the Ravens in Brazil.
Brady and Burkhardt will next call the Bills-Chargers matchup from Buffalo, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
